Organic Pitted Dates 500g
Organic pitted dates 500g have the stone removed and are dried. They are fantastic as a snack, in breads, cakes, and savory dishes. These organic pitted dates have a low/medium rating on the Glycemic Index and have high levels of potassium, copper, magnesium and are a fantastic source of fibre.
They have simply been harvested & collected, graded then cleaned with water. They are then hand selected & pitted with a knife and packed. No artificial preservatives or additives were added.
How Can I Use Organic Pitted Dates?
Pitted Dates are a great sugar alternative for cooking . Simply soak your dates in hot water and blend into a paste and use as a replacement for sugar in baking, breads or cookies. They are also a great addition to a smoothie.
Banana Caramel Smoothie – 1c of your milk choice (I use coconut milk or almond milk but full cream, skinny or rice milk are also options) 1 x 1/2 frozen banana, 2-3 pitted dates, 1 tspn maca powder (optional) 1 tbsp pea protein (optional) hand full of macadamia nuts, and either a small handful of cashews or spoon of cashew butter. Wizz in the blender for 1-2 minutes and hey presto a delicious smoothie to start your date. This smoothie will really keep you going all morning. It is full of protein, energy and will keep you sustained until lunch – plus its delicious!!
